Just Another Regular Saturday…or Not

November 29, 2014 By: Heather

Me and the Mom

It was just another regular Saturday around here…or not.

Because when was the last time YOUR mom challenged you to an arm wrestling match? No? Not recently? Just me, then?

Arm Wrestle BattleYes. It’s true. Today, I arm wrestled my mother. We were out at a family breakfast at one of our favorite places and she challenged me, so what was I supposed to say, ‘no’? She was all, “Hey…you’ve been going the gym, should we arm wrestle? Let’s see what ya got!” I was thinking she was totally kidding, but…nope. She was SERIOUS. Those eyes of hers were staring me down like a bull in a ring. So, I said yes. I mean, you don’t say no to your own mother, do you? It was a close match. Perhaps technically, I won, but only by a wee bit. In reality, I’m just calling it a draw – because it just doesn’t seem right to go around saying I arm wrestled my Mom and won!

In other news, and also related to my mom, she’s complained recently that she’s just no good at selfies The Arm Measurementbecause her arms are too short. I didn’t really believe that to be the truth, and so we measured her arm against mine (because huh, I don’t seem to have an issue taking selfies). And guess what? Sure enough. She’s got TRex syndrome (otherwise known as short arms). See the problem? Her arm is several inches shorter than mine! Suffice it to say, she either has to only take selfies with longer armed people…

…or…

I have to get her ONE OF THESE for Christmas. For serious! A Selfie Stick!

Anyhoo…how was YOUR Saturday? Any arm wrestling or arm measuring happen at your house?

I am SOOOOO tempted to buy a selfie stick, but I don’t want to tell anyone in my family because I’m a little embarrassed about it. LOL! So I probably won’t buy one, and just struggle with my reach… 🙂

When you get older and are a Mom, you have to shake it up so they know you’ve still got it!
I love it when I can surprise my kids and Grandkids❤️
Burgoon gym has paid off for Heather! Loving Saturdays ❤️
